ELSA Aarhus is excited to host our first ELSA Summer Law School! The 1st ELSA Summer Law School will be hosted in Aarhus, Denmark, the European Capital of Culture 2017. The theme of the summer school is Human Rights.

The ELSA Law School will take place from 15th to 22nd July 2018. The purpose of the Law School are to give the students a general understanding of human rights and the legal issues attached to it. The programme will include lectures, debates and workshops. The Law School will be held in partnership with lawyers, professors, researchers, law firms and lawyers. Moreover, ELSA Aarhus will arrange an extensive social programme in order for the students to get to know each other. Aarhus has great architecture, museums, restaurants and bars. Therefore the program will include sightseeing tours in Aarhus, visit  to museums and an amusement park. ELSA Aarhus will also host different social activities each evening.

Academic Programme

The ELSA Aarhus Law School aims to provide a varied, up-to-date and internationally-orientated academic programme. The programme will consist of seminars and work shops at Aarhus University.  We will explore many different issues in this field of law from many perspectives, such as legal academics, lawyers, and organizations.

In particular, the programme will focus on:

  • Human rights and law of war
  • Human rights and national human rights instruments
  • Human rights and business
  • National Human Rights
