ELSA Lviv has the pleasure to organise the 1st edition of Summer ELSA Law School on Gender Equality. During this SELS you will have an opportunity to talk about  «Feminist Jurisprudence», «Feminist Theory of Law», «The Women Question in International Law» and also about «Domestic violence». Day 1:

  • «What is Gender Equality? Methodological foundations of gender theory» – lecture
  • «Positive action to ensure gender equality in various fields – seminar

Day 2:

  • «The Women Question in International Law» – panel discussion
  • «Feminist Jurisprudence» + film «Balancing the Scales»
  • «Feminist Theory of Law» – lecture

Day 3:

  • «Gender-based violence: social and legal in nature, system of prevention and counteraction. Domestic violence and national violence the criminal legal framework for responding to it» – seminar
  • «Domestic violence and gender court rulings caused by violence» – workshop
  • «Legal remedies for the eradication of gender-based violence, international experience» – panel discussion

Day 4:

  • «ECtHR practices in the area of gender equality» – workshop
  • «International commitments in the field of women’s rights» – workshop

Day 5:

  • «Crimes against sexual freedom and sexual integrity persons» – seminar
  • «Issues of prohibition and counteraction to discrimination» – lecture

Day 6:

  • Case study. Mini-Moot Courts
