Salerno – Cultural Heritage
This Summer ELSA Law School will consist of seminars, lectures and interesting workshops focusing on the topic of the cultural heritage. A special focus will be put on: criminal law, international law and protection strategy of historical site.
For its 6th Edition in 2019, ELSA Salerno is glad to welcome you to the Summer ELSA Law School on Cultural Heritage.
Thanks to the academic support of the University of Salerno, you will spend seven amazing days listening to lectures with some of the most prominant professors in the field of Cultural Heritage Law and enjoying the Mediterranean charm offered by the city of Salerno. Our SELS aims to address issues relating to the protection of historical and artistic heritage, a current issue as can be seen in the media. There are many cases involving cultural heritage. From the point of view of the circulation of cultural goods, legislation related to private historical goods, their protection during wars, and transnational crimes related to cultural goods. The process of valorisation and economic growth possible by an efficient management of cultural heritage will be studied in depth.

The academic programme, coordinated by prof. dr. Francesco Fasolino, full prof. of Roman law, and supported by the Department of legal sciences of the University of Salerno, offers an interdisciplinary approach focused on the law of cultural heritage in their multiple focuses.
The teaching programme will include 20 hours of lectures and workshops about the key subject areas.
