As ELSA Krakow we are thrilled to invite you to the 9th edition of Summer ELSA Law School Cracow on International Tax Law! This incredible event will take place from the 20th to the 27th of July in Cracow – a city of Polish kings, renowned for its rich history, breathtaking views, and delicious cuisine.
Even though the topic of our ELSA Law School has stuck with us for quite a long time now, International Tax Law is a fascinating and ever-evolving field, full of opportunities for growth. Whether you're a law student or a young professional, this program offers the perfect introduction to taxation principles, international tax planning, model conventions and double tax treaties and the latest trends in tax law on an international scale. Our expert-led lectures and hands-on workshops will not only expand your knowledge but also boost your academic and career prospects.
At SELS Cracow, we believe in learning beyond the classroom. That's why besides gaining a whole load of knowledge, you will also have a chance to experience Polish culture from our local perspective. You will have the opportunity not only to hear the St. Mary’s Trumpet Call while walking through the Old Town, which is one of the first objects listed by UNESCO or see the breathing fire statue of The Wawel Hill Dragon - one of the greatest attractions and landmarks of Kraków, but also hang out by the Vistula River and experience the nightlife by taking part in the social activities we have prepared for you!

Thanks to the support of our academic partner – the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University – we will introduce you to international tax law from various perspectives. The lecturers have lots of experience, both academic and practical, that they are willing to share with you while delivering lectures on topics such as the general overview of model conventions, basis of taxation of individuals, double taxation to the prospective regulations and issues we are about to face within the branch. As participants, you will also have a chance to prove yourselves during our Tax Opinion Competition! After attending a special workshop, you can take on the role of a tax advisor and use your newly gained knowledge in practice.
