SELS Frankfurt am Main on Banking and Finance

ELSA Frankfurt am Main e.V would be delighted to host another Summer ELSA Law School this year on the topic of “Banking and Finance”. Our SELS on Banking and Finance will be taking place from July 27 to August 03, 2025. Expect peak summer heat, so be sure to bring sunscreen and wear comfortable clothes!

About Frankfurt am Main: Frankfurt am Main is the financial heart of the European Union since it is home to the European Central Bank, one of the institutional seats of the EU, and many other banks. Due to the financial importance of the city, Frankfurt am Main is also home to numerous law firms, ranging from small to big international firms. If you want to learn about finance-related topics, that's the city to do it!

Not only do we have beautiful skyscrapers which make you dizzy when you look up but additionally Frankfurt am Main is of utmost cultural importance. One of the greatest German poets, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is from Frankfurt am Main and that’s not the only thing Frankfurt has to offer! Frankfurt am Main is home to the concert hall “Alte Oper”, the largest European English theater, and many important museums which include Städel, Schirn, Goethe House, Liebighouse, and not to mention many more.

Furthermore, Frankfurt am Main has two faces - Day and Night. Pretty traditional “Fachwerkhäuser” garnish the “Altstadt” (Old City) whereas you can see the skyscrapers touching the sky in the background. When the sun sets the buzzing nightlife crawls out of the dark. Clubs, restaurants, and lights illuminate the night. That’s when one starts to understand the meaning of “Mainhattan”.
