ELSA Trabzon is delighted to announce the fourth edition of the Summer ELSA Law School, taking place from August 30 to September 6, 2026!
Continuing our tradition of combining academic excellence with unforgettable cultural experiences, this year’s programme will focus on Maritime Law and Arbitration. Participants will take part in a dynamic academic schedule consisting of inspiring lectures, practical workshops, and interactive sessions led by distinguished professionals in the field.
In addition to the academic programme, participants will have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking natural beauty and more than 2,700 years of history that make Trabzon truly unique. From the green landscapes of the Black Sea region to the vibrant atmosphere of the city, Trabzon offers countless cultural treasures waiting to be discovered. Our social programme will allow participants to experience local cuisine, traditional music, and cultural activities at some of the city’s most remarkable locations.

ELSA Trabzon is proud to present its Academic Programme dedicated to Maritime Law and Arbitration. With its rich maritime heritage and strategic position on the Black Sea, Trabzon offers participants a unique setting to explore these important fields of law.
The Academic Programme will begin with an introduction to arbitration, covering key topics such as Arbitration 101, Arbitration Agreements, and essential procedural aspects of arbitral proceedings. Participants will also gain insight into mechanisms such as the Emergency Arbitrator and the enforcement of arbitration awards in international disputes.
In addition, the programme will highlight fundamental aspects of maritime law, including Maritime Arbitration, Carrier’s Liability, Ship Collisions, Ship Arrests, and Incoterms in maritime trade.
Bringing together distinguished academics, practitioners, and leading Turkish law firms, the programme aims to combine theoretical knowledge with practical perspectives, concluding with an engaging case study session.
