Aarhus – Human Rights Law

SELS Aarhus on Human Rights Law will take place from July 2-9, 2023. We welcome our participants to Jutland's cultural heart, Aarhus, which is also Denmark's second-largest city and an exuberant university town.
The week will be filled with lectures held by experts in the field, and will cover different aspects of Human Rights Law. The lectures include a general introduction to the topic, but also real-life cases that the experts have worked with from their respective professional perspectives. This will give you an insight into the opportunities available to you after graduation and how you can integrate human rights law into your future professional life! In addition to the lectures, the Summer ELSA Law School will also consist of workshops where you will put your acquired knowledge into practice through problem solving in smaller groups and discussions. Since Aarhus is known as the European Capital of Culture in 2017, we want the students to experience some of the culture, but most of all we want them to feel comfortable with each other. Therefore, we have organised some team building activities for the students to get to know each other. These activities will take place both on campus and off campus, so students will get to see not only the sights on campus, but also the surrounding towns and parks.
We hope that the prospect of an enriching academic programme as well as an exciting social programme will make your experience at our SELS one you won't forget.
