SELS Budapest on Sports Law

The Summer ELSA Law School Budapest 2025 will be the first of its kind organised by ELSA Hungary, taking place in the vibrant capital city of Budapest from August 17th - 24th, 2025. This year’s theme is Sports Law, focusing on the legal challenges and trends shaping the sports industry. With extensive experience in hosting legal events, ELSA Hungary aims to deliver a high-quality programme that combines academic excellence with rich cultural experiences.

Budapest, often called the "Pearl of the Danube," is renowned for its breathtaking architecture, historic landmarks, and lively cultural scene. The city offers a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, where participants can explore iconic sites such as Buda Castle, the Hungarian Parliament, and Heroes' Square. During their free time, attendees can relax in thermal baths like Rudas or Széchenyi, enjoy a Danube River cruise, or experience Budapest’s famous nightlife in ruin bars and rooftop lounges. A day trip to Lake Balaton is also planned, allowing participants to experience Hungary beyond the capital.

The core of SELS Budapest 2025 is its comprehensive Sports Law programme, featuring over 20 hours of academic sessions led by renowned professors, practicing lawyers, and industry experts. Sessions will include interactive lectures, panel discussions and moot court competition, ensuring that participants gain both theoretical and practical insights into the field.
