WELS Brussels on New Technologies and AI Law
The sixth edition of the Winter ELSA Law School will take place from February 22 - March 1, 2026 at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). This year's theme focuses on "New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence", offering participants the chance to explore how these innovations are shaping the future of law and society.
Hosted by ELSA Brussels, the event goes far beyond the academic programme. Alongside the lectures and workshops, we have prepared a rich cultural and social activities, such as visits to the city of Brussels and visits to the European Union institutions, as well as unforgettable evening events. Brussels, the heart of Europe, a city know for its vibrant culture, diverse communities, and rich history. From international institutions to lively streets and famous Belgian treats, Brussels provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable week.

The academic programme of our WELS will be constituted of intensive courses on New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Law. The event will gather some of the most renowned Belgian experts in the field, most of them legal scholars and professors. As for the content of the academic programme, we hope to teach our participants the basics and different components of New Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Data law in order for them to understand, through active discussions and seminars, what issues this relatively new field of law brings about.
