ELSA Trento is organising its second Winter ELSA Law School, which will take place from February 22 to March 1, 2026. This WELS will be held in Trento, a charming city nestled in the Italian Alps. Bring your warm clothes and get ready to enjoy a fantastic week of rich history, delicious cuisine and an amazing Academic Programme!
Our WELS will give you the opportunity to study Transnational & International Criminal Law and Procedure. As the capital of Trentino, Trento is an international city, located on the border between Italy and Austria, a crossroads for all major European cities, making it the perfect place to learn about Criminal Law and procedure from an international perspective.
The focus of the Academic Programme lies in deepening the participants' legal knowledge of the aforementioned topic by attending interesting lectures that cover a wide range of subjects.
Trento offers a mix of different architecture, including the iconic Trento Cathedral and the stunning Buonconsiglio Castle. You will have the chance to explore its medieval streets, and Roman ruins, enjoy vibrant piazzas, and take in breathtaking mountain views. Trento is also a gateway to outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and cycling, with easy access to the nearby Dolomites. The theme for the second edition of our Winter ELSA Law School Trento remains “Transnational & International Criminal Law and Procedure”. Our Academic Programme aims to provide an overview of the field, delving into various aspects of the subject through engaging lectures and interactive workshops. The Academic Programme consists of 24 hours of lectures and strives to deepen the participants’ knowledge of various topics related to Criminal Law and procedure, such as international judicial cooperation, cybercrime, organised and national security.
Participants will have the chance to discuss cutting-edge issues in Criminal Law and Procedure with various experts recognised both nationally and internationally, including professors, lawyers, and legal scholars. We offer a unique opportunity to explore the most relevant topics in modern criminal law and procedure from an international perspective, allowing participants to enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in a stimulating and dynamic environment.
